BASIC COURSES
Swedish massage
This 30 hours course or one week training introduces the students to the strokes and hands-on skills that are the groundwork for massage techniques used throughout the Massage Therapy Program.
This course develops communication skills, presents draping and bolstering techniques, and reviews the benefits of, and contraindications for, massage.
Students learn the basic strokes and sequence.
Shiatsu Massage
Basic Shiatsu Training I (20 hours)
This training includes additional hands on training and theory.
Students will be guided through detailed demonstrations and practice sessions while they learn the skills necessary to begin providing a body traditional Shiatsu mostly usefull in spa establishment.
Advance Shiatsu Training II (20 hours)
This training expands on the use of points to treat disorders and examines the pathology of certain conditions in relationship to Chinese Medicine and hands on training.
This course provides students with advanced training in Shiatsu techniques, focusing on the treatment of common musculo-skeletal disorders of the neck, shoulder, thorax and low back, from both an Eastern and Western perspective.
Acupressure
40 hours trainings Students are introduced to the tenets of Traditional Chinese Medicine including the Meridian theory, Asian anatomy and physiology, Yin/Yang, Qi, the Five Element Theory and the energetic of food and personal lifestyle choices.
Students will also learn how to accomplish a acupressure treatment for specific condition by completion of this level.
Foot Reflexology
This 20 hours module examines the basic theory and techniques of foot Reflexology. Topics will include the history of Reflexology, an overview of the reflexes and referral patterns of the feet, and zone therapy. The aim of the module is to provide students with basic techniques that can be incorporated into any style of bodywork they pursue.
Filipino Combination massage
Prerequisite: Basic Swedish massage and foot reflexology training
A 20 hours training of combination in four classical massage like swedish, shiatsu reflexology and Thai massage stretching
ADVANCE COURSES
Traditional Thai massage
Covers the basic theories of Thai Massage and analyzes how they compare and contrast with
the theories of Shiatsu.
Students study the basic body mechanics and positioning for this modality as well as many of the stretches and transitions of this fluid and dynamic style, with the client in
both lying and seated positions.
Sports massage
(Pre event & post event)
Athletic massage has physical, psychological and physiological benefits and is used in the recovery of sports training or injury.
Benefits include helping the damaged muscle maintain vital nutrients in blood by helping to pump the blood through the muscle and keeping the pores of the muscles open, stretching to release tension and improve elasticity, breaking down scar tissue, among others.
